Always wanted to live like a soccer star? Now's your chance.

A stunning six-bed mansion rented out to Premier League stars has hit the market for $5,340,000.

The plush property has been home to several Newcastle United players, sources said - with cult hero Sandro Tonali its most recent inhabitant.

The detached house - which boasts an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and games room - was acquired by the seller in 2007.

Since then it has been "comprehensively remodelled and extended to create one of the most significant private homes within the North East of England", according to estate agent Sanderson Young.

While the front elevation has been preserved, the rear of the house was redone by acclaimed architect Bill Hopper.

It features intelligent home automation, integrated audio systems and carefully designed lighting.

The home, located in the Jesmond area, is listed for offers in excess of $5,340,000 and Sanderson Young say the leisure suite "rivals those found in many boutique hotels and private health clubs."

The listing reads: "Approached through electrically operated entrance gates, the property enjoys a discreet setting behind its original period façade, which gives little indication of the remarkable accommodation beyond.

"Located just moments from Osborne Road and adjoining the conservation area surrounding Jesmond Dene, 13 Lindisfarne Road enjoys an enviable position within one of Newcastle's most desirable residential neighborhoods.

"Combining exceptional architecture, beautifully balanced family accommodation and outstanding leisure facilities, this is undoubtedly one of the city's landmark homes."

Sources confirmed that the Toon Army has used the house for several years, with Tonali - who signed for Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month - the last player to live there.

Commenters online also speculated that winger Allan Saint-Maxim lived at the address during his time in Newcastle, although this has not been confirmed.
