Harry Styles is playing 30 nights at Madison Square Garden this fall, and his fans are turning the run into a full New York weekend, not just a concert night.
Styles opened the residency Aug. 26 and will perform every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday through Halloween. It’s his only U.S. stop on the “Together, Together” tour, double the 15-night run he played at the Garden in 2022. The 2026 residency drew 11.5 million presale registrations, and tickets for all 30 shows sold out.
With no other American city on the schedule, fans nationwide have one destination if they want to see the tour live. That scarcity alone is pulling fans onto planes and trains to New York.
Where The Spending Is Actually Landing
Short-term rental data firm AirDNA tracked New York lodging during the residency, and the results weren't what you’d expect.
Manhattan’s own Airbnb and vacation rental market barely moved, up only around 2%. The bigger jump happened across the river, in Jersey City and Newark, New Jersey, where demand and nightly rates climbed more sharply as fans got priced or booked out of Manhattan listings.
Hotels Are Building The Experience Fans Actually Want
So where are fans actually staying? Around Penn Station this fall, fans in sequins, feather boas and platform boots have become as familiar a sight as the ticket resellers outside the arena. Hotels in Midtown have started designing around that crowd instead of just renting them a room.
Park Terrace Hotel, two subway stops from the Garden and overlooking Bryant Park, built its Stay in Style(s) package around the residency. The package pairs a room night with a Manhattan map commissioned from artist Anne Segal Mozian. The map marks Styles’ favorite spots around the city. It includes a running route along the East River into Williamsburg, the path fans say he takes to Saturday Night Live rehearsals, and restaurants like L’Industrie Pizza, Rubirosa and Sant Ambroeus.
The package also includes access to Branch, the hotel’s members-only club, where guests get a watermelon welcome drink and an iced matcha latte each morning of their stay.
“2026 has been a banner year for event tourism in New York and we are so excited to see this continue into the fall with the Harry Styles residency at Madison Square Garden,” said Joseph Turano, COO of Park Terrace Hotels. “More than ever, travelers are looking for a stay that enhances their destination experience and our Stay in Style(s) package is an example of how Park Terrace Hotel places guests at the epicenter of Midtown Manhattan and delivers more than just a place to rest.”
Moxy Times Square took a different approach. It turned its rooftop into a summer space called Camp Magic Hour, where concert groups grab drinks and take photos before and after a show.
The trend isn’t limited to hotels either. Uber and Delta are running $25 “Disco Together” shuttles between JFK, LaGuardia and Madison Square Garden for the full run of the residency, with vehicles wrapped and outfitted to match the tour’s disco theme.
What’s new is how quickly the hotels have learned to build something fans want to book around, not just a place to sleep before the encore. Styles’ residency wraps with two Halloween shows on Oct. 30 and 31, giving New York hospitality about six more weeks to keep testing the idea.
