A bombshell image of a potential 1,000 ft-wide flying saucer revealed at a U.S. congressional hearing may have already been debunked.
UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) whistleblower Luis Elizondo, a former U.S. Army counterintelligence officer, held up a grainy image taken from a civilian airplane over rural southwestern United States.
It purported to show a silver circular disc casting a vast shadow over the landscape.
The "Understanding UAP: Science, National Security & Innovation" event on Thursday, May, was held in Washington, D.C. in collaboration with the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and included members of Congress and leading UAP experts.
Taking the stand, Luis Elizondo showed off the photograph said to be taken in the Four Corners region, and said: "It is a lenticular object, and if we look at the shadow being cast it is significantly large. It is (taken at) about 21,000ft, taken by a civilian pilot.
"The object, potentially, is anywhere between six hundred to a thousand feet in diameter. It is a lenticular object, and it is silver.

"But this is an example of one of many, many, many incidents involving commercial and private pilots, and guess what? They don't know where to report it. Guess what? Congress has no idea this is happening on a regular basis. That's a problem.
However, he added: "I cannot vouch for the veracity of this photograph, I didn't take it."
But internet sleuths may have found a simple explanation for the image, which probably reveal it as an optical illusion.
A comparison with Google maps in the same region show two irrigation circles, with one darker than the other to make it appear as its shadow.
UFO analyst and "skeptic" Mick West commented online: "This UFO photo shows two irrigation circles. The roads are perfectly aligned, and the "shadow" is in the wrong direction. It makes you wonder why Elizondo gets fooled by things like this."
The UAP Disclosure Fund had said on X, regarding the hearing: "Captured near Four Corners at FL210—estimated 600-1,000 ft in diameter, silver-hued, disc-shaped. Released moments ago by Luis Elizondo during our “Science, National Security & Innovation” panel.
"Several speakers confirmed DoD & IC hold hundreds of similar UAP images + sensor files still classified. It’s time for full declassification and open scientific analysis."
