Mosquito

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Fergus County Health Department (FCHD) has reported that West Nile Virus has been detected in a mosquito pool in the area.

Currently, no human cases have been reported, but FHCD said the presence of the virus serves as a reminder for residents to take precautions.

Residents are advised to use insect repellent, wear long sleeves and pants and avoid outdoor activities during peak mosquito activity hours, typically at dawn and dusk.
