A delegation of Palestinian Christian activists will tour the American South, including Montgomery and Selma, as part of the Telos Group's "ReStory US: An American Pilgrimage Palestinian Delegation".
The tour will take place on March 8-15. Members of the delegation are:
Daniel Bannoura, Palestinian theologian from Bethlehem, co-host of “Across the Divide”, a theology podcast on Palestine/Israel
John Munayer, Palestinian theologian from Jerusalem, Director of International Engagement for the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue
Dr. Lamma Mansour, Christian Palestinian from Nazareth, recipient of the Rhodes Scholarship
Dr. Yousef Al Khouri, Palestinian theologian from Gaza, professor of Biblical Studies, and Academic Dean of Bethlehem Bible College
“Now more than ever, we need bold, transformative efforts to bridge divides and equip leaders for the work of peacemaking,” said Todd Deatherage, Executive Director and co-founder of Telos. “This pilgrimage will create a space for Palestinian Christian leaders and American communities to learn from one another, drawing essential connections between historical injustices and the urgent challenges of today.”
The delegation will visit Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma and the Legacy Museum in Montgomery.
