A second Community Listening Session organized by Blackbelt Women Rising and Blackbelt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice will take place on May 8 at City Hall.
Uniontown residents are invited to receive an update on the state of the community based on feedback provided in the first session and share further input.
“This listening session is Part 2 and to answer the citizens’ questions about what’s been going on, what resources are available to the people of Uniontown,” said Portia Shepherd, organizer. “We want everyone to know their voice matters, and that they have support right here at home.”
Local nonprofits CHOICE and the Community Foundation of Uniontown will discuss their services and food will be provided.
The session will take place in the auditorium of Uniontown City Hall on 200 Front Street from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
