The Perry County Courthouse underwent a deep cleaning over the holidays after a positive COVID exposure case was reported inside the building, according to a statement on the County Commission Chairman’s Facebook page.
“If you visited the courthouse on 12-29 or 12-30 and begin to have symptoms, please contact your physician,” the statement on the Facebook page of Albert Turner Jr. says. “It is doubtful with the vast technology that has been placed in the courthouse that anyone who visited the courthouse would have been exposed unless there was a direct face-to-face interaction with the infected person.”
The statement says the Perry County Courthouse, which is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, will “undergo a deep cleaning over the New Year Holiday.” Face masks will be required as they have been to enter the courthouse when it reopens, according to the statement.
