The seventh edition of Photographic Nights of Selma will be held at ArtsRevive featuring the works of multiple photographers on Nov. 6-7.

The event will feature exhibitions, outdoor screenings, artist talks, school programs, and community events themed around Selma and its role in history.

The guest of honor is Darrell Hunter, who is the featured artist for 2026.

"Hunter left a career in finance to pursue photography and built a portfolio that runs from The New York Times to Harper's Bazaar and Teen Vogue," said a press release from ArtsRevive Executive Director Becky Youngblood. "He got his start in fashion and has since moved into travel, reportage, portraits, and activism, finding beauty and inclusivity where viewers least expect it."

In addition to ArtsRevive there will be installations at Foot Soldiers Park and other downtown venues showcasing the work from local, national, and international photographers. There will also be featured photography projects from local middle and high school students.

Outdoor screenings are set for at 6:30 pm at ArtsRevive Carneal's outdoor screen and featuring photographic narratives from selected photographers.

The Jury Prize winner will earn an invitation to the Nuits Photographiques de Pierrevert in the South of France in July 2027.
