Deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) helped to locate a victim who had been kidnapped in nearby Tuscaloosa County.

An announcement from PCSO said that deputies were notified of the kidnapping victim on Oct. 1 who was believed to be in a vehicle in Aliceville.

Deputies then located the vehicle at a gas station in Aliceville where they arrested the suspect and recovered the victim unharmed.

“I could not be prouder of the men and women of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office," said Sheriff Jordan Powell. "Our deputies work around the clock, often without recognition, and they continue to answer the call whenever someone needs help."

"Thursday night, they showed exactly what it means to serve and protect. Their quick response, professionalism, and dedication helped ensure that a victim was safely located. I’m proud to call these men and women my deputies, and I’m grateful for the work they do every single day.”
