Pastor Corey Brooks will be in Selma on Jan. 19 to give out food to 500 and walk the Edmund Pettus Bridge on MLK Day.

Pastor Corey Brooks of New Beginnings Church of Chicago will be in Selma on Jan. 19 as part of the Project HOOD initiative where free meals will be given out to 500 residents at Selma Welcome Center parking lot. 

The food will be prepared by Tisdale’s Backyard BBQ, with DJ Barrack to put on a music show on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The group will cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge at 12:45 p.m. in honor of MLK Day.

The food and music will take place at the Selma Welcome Center parking lot on 22 Broad Street from 1-3 p.m.
