Cropped image from the Ruby Pickens Tartt Public Library Facebook page.

Ruby Pickens Tartt Public Library in Livingston is offering free blood pressure checks for Sumter County residents of ages 18 and up.

Self monitoring blood pressure kits can be checked out to be used at home for up to two weeks or they can be used at the library with no checkout necessary.

Each kit includes a monitor, cuff, instructions and resources. Residents must have a valid library card.

The kits were made available by a partnership of the library with WACH Community Hearts and the American Heart Association.
