Public meeting to be held on plan for East Fairview Avenue improvements in Montgomery

A public information meeting will be held on May 29 regarding a proposed Streetscape Master Plan for improvements to East Fairview Avenue in Montgomery. 

The public is invited to provide feedback at the meeting where the project overview information will be displayed. Staff from the city government and consultants will be in attendance to take questions. 

Comment sheets will be available that can be filled out and returned during the meeting or can be emailed to iholloway@montgomeryal.gov. They can be mailed to the City of Montgomery's PO Box 1111. 

According to an announcement from the city, the plan proposes improvements over approximately 0.57 miles from Cloverdale Road and eastward to Narrow Lane Road. 

Improvements include pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, connectivity between campus amenities and adjacent neighborhoods, as well as promoting local businesses. 

The meeting will take place from 4:30 pm. to 7:30 p.m. at the Smith Recital Hall on 1500 East Fairview Avenue.
