The Renaissance Theater, formerly the Hook Theatre in downtown Eutaw, will screen the documentary film, "The Fourth Weekend in August," about the Black Belt Roots Festival on Thursday, Oct. 8.Â
The film was made by Dwight Cammeron and a team that includes Ginger Jolly, an assistant professor at the University of Alabama (UA).Â
"This film will take you on a journey that interweaves the festival’s background with the history of the resilient people of Greene County," said a description of the documentary by UA.Â
A meet-and-greet will be held at 5:45 p.m. followed by the documentary screening at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.Â
The Renaissance Theater is located at 220 Prairie Avenue.Â
