A Family Dollar retail location in Selma will hold a grand re-opening on Saturday, Feb. 29 after undergoing renovations.

The updated location will now include “$1.00 Dollar Tree merchandise, additional freezers and coolers and an expanded selection of food, beauty and essentials, household products, and seasonal items,” said an announcement by spokesperson Jim Van Slyke.

The first 50 customers will receive a gift card and reusable shopping bag at the re-opening, which will also have gift basket raffles, giveaways, and free samples.

“Family Dollar is proud to be a part of the SELMA community and we are excited to welcome existing and new customers to our newly renovated store,” Slyke said in the announcement. “The refreshed store will provide even greater values and convenience to our shoppers.”

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 1007 Broad St. Family Dollar location.
