A ribbon cutting was held for the new "Serving Up Hope and Hot Meals” food truck at the Selma Housing Authority's Rangedale Community Center on Aug. 14.
"Serving Up Hope and Hot Meals" is more than just a food truck, it’s a symbol of compassion, community, and opportunity," said SHA CEO Kennard Randolph. "It reflects our commitment to meeting residents where they are, addressing food insecurity, and empowering our community with workforce development skills."
The title was chosen from a name competition featured on SHA's Facebook page.
The food truck is a collaboration of SHA with the Jobs Plus Program and will offer training to SHA residents in the culinary and hospitality fields.
