Selma AIDS, Information and Referral (AIR) clinic is partnering with Selma City Schools to launch Doing Our Part Everyday or DOPE to educate the public on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The campaign is aimed at curbing the spread of the virus by promoting education about measures to prevent infection, as well as testing, contact tracing, and other safety tips.
"The overall goal of this campaign is to remind everyone that COVID-19 is real and impacting our community greatly," Selma City Schools says on its Facebook page. "Doing our part as individuals is the start of the end of this pandemic."
On social media this is being promoted with the hashtags #doingourparteveryday, #DOPE, and #doingmyparteveryday.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Dallas County with 2,385 cases and 33 deaths as of Sunday, Dec. 6. There are 272,000 cases statewide and 3,889 deaths.
