The city of Selma said it will remove signs and posters placed on utility poles, public property or right of ways, according to a statement.Â
Sec. 6-83 of the city code states it is unlawful to place notices on public property. Notices commonly appear on public property during political campaigns.
"All signs will be removed starting Feb. 7 and will be taken to the Code Enforcement Department, 19 Washington St.," the statement reads.
