Selma City Schools (SCS) has announced three winners for the Teacher of the Year.Â
The first is Mylinda Simpson from R.B. Hudson STEAM Academy.Â
"As she celebrates her 25th year at the same school, Ms. Simpson's unwavering love for her students shines through," said a post on the SCS social media. "Her commitment to their success exemplifies the heart of effective teaching."
Second is Eshwaa Godfrey, a biology teacher at Selma High School.Â
"His commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, as he has actively supported our students in various roles, including cheerleading and within the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. Godfrey's passion and dedication make a lasting impact on our Saints Nation community."
And third is Melody Washington-Sellers from Meadowview Elementary School.
"Her dedication to her career and her commitment to shaping the future of Selma's children are truly commendable. Let's congratulate Ms. Sellers for her outstanding 21 years of teaching third grade," adds SCS.Â
