Last week, the Selma City School Board voted to approve the Phase II Reopening of Schools plan that will be implemented beginning Nov. 9.

Selma City Schools have been held virtually so far in the 2020 school year due to COVID-19.

Phase II entails providing voluntary, targeted intervention in reading and mathematics for scholars in need. This means that scholars in need of one-on-one support will have an opportunity to meet with their teacher face-to-face during a specified time frame each week.

For partners supporting scholars while the district learns remotely, the intervention schedule will be shared to ensure learning activities are not disrupted at your center.

The district is hosting a Chat & Chew on Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about how this plan will be implemented. Zoom information is available here. They are also live streaming from Facebook.
