Two U.S. Navy veterans who are also Alabama natives will lead a workshop hosted by Selma-Dallas County Public Library on Aug. 18 at 2 p.m.Â
The workshop will be led by laVender, owner of Candy Publishing, and Robert L. Congress, a freelance writer.Â
The two will talk about writing books, how to write for magazines, tips on self-publishing and blogging.Â
The event is free and open to the public. The library is located at 1103 Selma Avenue.Â
