A man from Selma died in a traffic accident on Alabama 219 in Perry County on Saturday afternoon.Â
According to a report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Robert L. Perkins, 68, of Selma was a passenger in a 2019 Mercedes GLA 250 that left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.
He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
The driver, Barbara J. Perkins, 60, and another passenger, Latonya P. Wilson, 43, both of Selma, were both injured and transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center for treatment.Â
The crash took place on Alabama 219 near the 12 mile marker, approximately 8 miles north of Valley Grande.Â
