A Selma man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for being in possession of a machinegun conversion devices, also known as Glock-switches, said an announcement from U.S. Attorney Sean P. Costello.Â
According to the announcement Mark Anthony Wallace, 26, was pulled over on Feb. 2, 2024 by Dallas County Sheriff Deputies for a traffic violation. He was then found to have a gun with a machinegun conversion device attached with a high-capacity magazine.
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents were called to investigate before Wallace was federally indicted.Â
Another incident followed on Oct. 13 of that year when Wallace was pulled over for a speeding violation by an officer who ran a background check and found that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.Â
After he was arrested Wallace was found with another conversion device attached to a gun, said the announcement. He was sentenced on May 28.Â
