A woman from Selma was killed along with a woman from Prattville during a head-on collision in Autauga County on Thursday night. 

A statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that Carolyn C. Cason, 78, of Prattville was killed when the 2023 Lincoln Aviator she was driving collided with a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Alyssa M. Taylor, 30, of Selma. 

After the collision both vehicles left the road and caught fire. The two were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash reportedly took place at around 7:41 p.m. on Alabama 14 near the 142 mile marker, approximately nine miles west of Prattville.
