Much of Alabama, including the Black Belt, is under an enhanced risk of storms today at 3 p.m. through 4 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

An enhanced risk carries the possibility of damaging winds up to 70 mph, ping pong-sized hail and tornados.

Most of Marengo county, as well as Sumter and Choctaw counties, are under a slight risk in which tornados, quarter-sized hail and damaging winds up to 60 mph are possible.

The public is advised to stay up to date with weather reports and take precautions as needed.
