The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) will host an event today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on enhancing pedestrian safety and accessibility. 

The event will support a grant to construct what was said to be a "much-needed" sidewalk along Marie Foster Street. There will also be food, music, giveaways and activities for children. 

The event will be hosted at the Rangedale Community Center.
