Southside-Selma High School's baseball program has been fined and placed on probation by the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) for reportedly violating a student transfer rule.Â
A press release from AHSAA stated that Southside-Selma High School self reported the violation.Â
"As a result, Southside-Selma High School’s varsity baseball team must forfeit all games won in which the ineligible student participated," the press release says. "The ineligible player is assessed restitution for the contests he participated in while ineligible."
The press release did not specify what the fine was.Â
Additionally, the program will not advance to the playoffs of the AHSAA Class 3A state baseball championships against Flomaton on April 18. Instead, Dallas County will play Flomaton as the runner-up from Class 3A, Area 4.
