The St. James Hotel has officially sold.
The City of Selma and developer Jim Lewis confirmed Monday morning that the historic hotel on Water Avenue has sold for $400,000.
Lewis’ company Rhaglan Hospitality plans a $5 million renovation for the property with more than 40 rooms that will be operated as a Hilton as part of their lifestyle boutique brand.Â
Rhaglan got state historic tax credits to help with funding and have applied for federal historic tax credits.
Lewis estimated opening the new version of the St. James Hotel by the end of the year.
