Even as an infectious disease expert, Dr. Scott Harris has never seen anything like the COVID pandemic.
And as leader of the state’s Department of Public Health, his response to share information, make big decisions and save lives of those in Alabama has been unprecedented.
“In the future, we will see how remarkable the public health response was,” Harris said on Monday while at the podium in front of 65 people attending the weekly Selma Rotary Club meeting at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
