Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen will deliver a keynote address for the Troy University (TU) Summer Commencement on Friday, July 25.

Allen is himself a graduate of the university, said an announcement on Monday. 

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. with almost 350 students to graduate. 

Three will receive their associate’s degree, 168 will receive undergraduate degrees, 157 will receive graduate degrees, six will receive Education Specialist degrees, and one will receive a doctorate.

Allen was sworn in as Secretary of State in January 2023. He is a Republican. 

The commencement will take place at the Trojan Arena. TU is located at 600 University Avenue in Troy.
