Sturdivant Hall’s Barbecue on the Green to return Oct. 8

Sturdivant Hall’s Barbecue on the Green fundraiser will be held on Oct. 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

The event will raise funds to support programs and operations for the museum. Tickets are $30 each and includes a Lannie's Bar-B-Q Spot dinner that will be served outdoors or can be ordered with a drive-thru. 

There will be live music from Ed Williams and a silent art auction with pieces by local and regional artists.

Takeout will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Union Street by the entrance to the museum parking lot.

Tickets can be purchased from Sturdivant Hall board members or from the Sturdivant Hall Museum open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Limited tickets will be available at Carter Drug Co., the Selma-Dallas County Public Library, and Queen City Market.

The event will be held at the Sturdivant Hall location on at 713 Mabry Street in Selma.
