Surveying for a $2.4 million street resurfacing project in Selma has been announced thanks to a Delta Regional Authority (DRA) grant.

The funding comes from the DRA's Community Infrastructure Fund Grant Program. The project will involve milling, paving, and repairing storm water inlets in more than 60 city blocks in the downtown area and Disaster Area 1.

"Phase 1 of this critical infrastructure improvement project aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of our streets while supporting the continued recovery and revitalization efforts in our community," said the City of Selma in a post on social media.
