On Nov. 21 By the River Center for Humanity will host a storytelling event titled “Tenx9” in which the theme will be growing up in Selma.
The idea comes from an event that was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland and will be introduced to Selma at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday night.
Tenx9 will have four to five people of ages 16 to 25, as well as four to five people of ages 50 and up, come to the stage to tell true stories of growing up in Selma.
This event is presented by the Selma Center for Truth, Reconciliation and Nonviolence and is supported by Black Belt Community Foundation.
By the River Center for Humanity is located at 1306 Water Ave. in Selma.
