Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) is taking applications for internships for her Washington D.C. and district offices during the summer 2026 season.

Sewell's offices are looking for college students and recent graduates interested in government and public service. Applicants must be enrolled in a college or university or have recently graduated to be eligible.

Students with connections to Alabama that will have completed their sophomore or junior years in an undergraduate program by June 2026 are "strongly" encouraged to apply, said an announcement on Thursday.

"Our summer internship program offers a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to serve the people of Alabama’s 7th District while gaining critical experience in a dynamic congressional office," said Sewell. "Our interns are an integral part of our team and keep our offices running smoothly each and every day. As a former congressional intern myself, I know firsthand the opportunities that these experiences can unlock, and I encourage anyone with interest to apply!”

The deadline to apply is March 27 at 5 p.m.
