Rep. Terri Sewell will make an announcement for "major" funding to the Greene County Hospital and Nursing Home and will visit Reform and Eutaw to celebrate Veterans Day. 

At 11 a.m. Sewell will be present with Reform Mayor Melody Davis, Gordo Mayor Craig Patterson, and other community members at Reform Airport for the Gordo Rotary Club’s 25th Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony.

Later today at 1 p.m. Sewell will make the announcement at Greene County Hospital and Nursing Home with CEO Dr. Marcia Pugh, hospital board members, and Eutaw Mayor Latasha Johnson.

There they will announce $521,100 that Sewell secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 federal government funding package to install new generators to protect patients in case of a power outage.

The announcement will be made at the hospital's Outdoor Courtyard on 509 Wilson Avenue in Eutaw. 

Afterwards Sewell will attend the Greene County Veterans Day Street Festival where she will update citizens on happenings in congress at 1:30 p.m. At the same time Sewell’s staff will begin hosting mobile office hours to assist residents with federal constituent service matters at Eutaw Town Hall on 116 Main Street.
