Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will host an edition of Terri Talks titled "Hands Off Our Benefits" about proposed cuts to the Social Security Administration on Thursday at 3 p.m. 

Sewell will host the discussion with Rep. John Larson (CT-01), Ranking Member of the Social Security Subcommittee. 

A press release from Sewell stated that more than 164,000 people in the 7th Congressional District rely on monthly Social Security benefits. This includes an estimated 105,000 retirees, 15,000 children, 9,000 widows, 2,900 spouses, and 32,000 disabled workers.

The edition will address cuts to the administration involving the closing of offices and the layoffs of a reported 7,000 staff members. 

The edition will be streamed on Sewell's Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X, formerly known as Twitter pages.
