Today Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will host a Medicaid Day of Action Roundtable and a press conference on the recent tornado outbreak after surveying the damage done in Plantersville. 

Sewell will tour the Plantersville community before receiving a briefing on damage assessments and disaster assistance.

Afterwards she'll be joined by Dallas County EMA Director Toya Stiles, Dallas County Sheriff Granthum, and other officials for a press conference to update the public on the damage and the information that she was provided during the briefing.

The press conference will be held at 2 p.m. 

At 3 p.m. Sewell will host a Medicaid Day of Action Roundtable in Selma and will be joined by Rural Health Medical Program CEO Keshee Dozier-Smith, Selma Air Executive Director Larry Cowan, and other healthcare providers to discuss the the potential impacts of the Trump Administration’s proposed cuts to Medicaid on Dallas County.

The roundtable will be held at the Rural Health Medical Program Central Office on 101 Park Place.
