A member of First Assembly of God in Thomasville was injured during a fire that broke out on Aug. 10 and damaged the building. 

According to thethomasvilletimes.com the church member, identified as Wayne Buckalew, was working on an electric panel when it exploded and caused a fire to break out. 

Buckalew was injured and transported to a hospital where he is currently being treated. The congregation is meeting in different locations as the building is repaired and insurance policies are worked out.
