TV personality and businesswoman Melody Shari hosted the Selma To Montgomery March: This Side of the Bridge reception held on Sunday, March 23.Â
According to sheenmagazine.com, the event drew more than 500 attendees and featured Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed. It was held at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
The event was part of a series commemorating the marches from Selma to Montgomery to protest for civil rights in the 1960s.Â
Born in Alabama, Shari's television background includes the reality show, "Love and Marriage: Huntsville".Â
