Two members of the Selma City Schools (SCS) district were honored by the Alabama Education Association.

R.B. Hudson Assistant Principal Dr. Mashika Tempero-Culliver was named named 2025–2026 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Alabama Education Association (AEA). 

SCS Federal Programs Director Kristen Dial-Williams was named Outstanding Central Office Administrator of the Year.

"Both honors reflect their exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to students and employees within the district," said an announcement from SCS. "We are deeply grateful for their tireless efforts and the lasting impact they have made, not only on our school system, but also on the state."
