Uniontown citizens are eligible for a free water filter program that will deliver filters on April 12 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to those that register for it.

The program is a partnership of Perry County Commissioner Ben Eaton, Black Belt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice, and the Diocese of the Episcopal Church of Alabama.

Anyone who would like to receive a filter can register by calling Uniontown City Hall at 334-628-2011 and ask for Alfreda Washington or Chrisalin Moore.
