Dallas County Schools Superintendent Anthony Sampson has announced that Valley Grande Elementary is welcoming a new assistant principal.Â
Tamekia Johnson joins the school after serving in the Dallas County district for six years and having taught in the Montgomery school system for eight years, Sampson said.Â
A Montgomery native, Johnson holds a Master's Certification in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama, a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo.Â
"Ms. Johnson is a dedicated lifelong learner excited to take on this new role as Assistant Principal at Valley Grande Elementary School," Sampson said.Â
