A distribution of 2,500 gallons of water will be held on Sunday in Marion.
U.S. District 7 congressional candidate Ammie Akin will distribute bottled water to area residents following recent problems with the city's water system.
The water will be delivered at 2 p.m. at Berean Missionary Baptist Church, 804 Washington St.
Akin will then host a town hall meeting at the Harris Technology Hub, 401 Washington St., from 4-6 p.m.
She will be joined by Mitch Jameson and Perry County Commissioner Brett Harrison.
Akin will face incumbent Terri Sewell in the Nov. 3 general election.
