Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) graduated 300 of its students during a ceremony on Friday, May 10 while celebrating 60 years in existence.Â
"This year's commencement is not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a testament to the enduring legacy of Wallace Community College Selma, " said WCCS President James M. Mitchell. "We are immensely proud of our graduates and their contributions to our community and beyond."
In a press release WCCS acknowledged two graduates for their achievements.Â
Drel’Keria Nettles received the Technical Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA in masonry while La’Niya Anderson was awarded the Academic Excellence Award for achieving a 3.93 GPA.
WCCS also acknowledged its 57th class from the technical college program and the 52nd class from the academic college program, which added to a roster of 16,978 graduates.
