The fishing was tough for the first Selma Marina Wednesday Afternoon Bass Tournament last week, according to the anglers, but there were still some good fish caught.
The first of the Wednesday Bass Tourneys of the season launched at 4 p.m. from the Selma Marina May 11.
Seven boats participated. The weigh in was at dusk back at the Selma Marina. Payout was for first and second place. Gage and Wes King of Selma took second place with a bag weighing 13.93 pounds. They also won Big Fish with one weighing in at 3.58 pounds, all good for $112 payout. First place went to Tory Jones of Valley Grande, whose bag weighed in at 14.87 pounds and paid out $169.
