July Fourth this year is on Tuesday and many Black Belt communities have festivities planned for this weekend to celebrate the country's independence.

Here is a list of activities in the Black Belt.

SELMA

The city of Selma and Levitt AMP concert series are hosting fireworks and music at Riverfront Amphitheater and Park on July 2. Free music, food trucks and vendors will be there and will end the night with fireworks. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m.

VALLEY GRANDE

City of Valley Grande hosts its annual Fourth of July fest and fireworks on July 3 at 9 p.m. behind the ballparks on County Roads 16 and 22.

MONTGOMERY

The annual Independence Day Celebration is being held at Riverfront Park on July 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. Includes live music and fireworks.
 

DEMOPOLIS

The annual Freedom on the River on July 4 celebration starts at 4:30 p.m. at Demopolis Landing. It includes live music and fireworks at 9 p.m.

The City of Uniontown is hosting their first Firework Explosion at 8 p.m. July 4 at Uniontown Ballpark.
