The Whitfield Regional Hospital Foundation has announced a campaign to create a $1 million endowment.
“Unlike traditional fundraising efforts that support immediate needs, an endowment is designed to provide lasting financial support,” Whitfield Foundation Director Ashley Coplin said. “The fund can generate resources year after year to help strengthen healthcare services, support advancements in medical technology, and provide equipment and educational opportunities.”
Coplin said, “With the development of the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences in Demopolis, the opportunity to connect health care education with real-world patient care makes this investment in the future even more meaningful.”
Whitfield brings diagnostic testing and specialized medical services close to residents of the Black Belt, which attracts families, supports businesses and creates jobs, Coplin said.
“The $1 million goal represents more than a financial milestone,” Coplin said. “It represents a shared commitment by individuals, businesses, employees and community partners who believe that strong local health care is essential to a thriving community.”
