Wilcox County Commission independent candidate Arthur Broadnax of Pine Hill has alleged fraud being used in the Nov. 5 election and is contesting the results.Â
According to WAKA, Broadnax was defeated by incumbent Quarre Calhoun in the race for District 5.Â
Now Broadnax is alleging that Calhoun gained votes through fraudulent use of absentee ballots and registering people without their permission. An attorney for Calhoun denied the claims.Â
Circuit Judge Marvin Wiggins has been assigned to the case and a court date has not yet been scheduled.Â
