A woman and a teenager were placed under arrested for allegedly stealing $2,278.77 worth of merchandise from a Walmart in Montgomery.Â
According to WSFA, the two were stopped around 9 p.m. at a Walmart location in the 800 block of Ann Street. Shaniya Sherrill Mushat was identified as a suspect while a third suspect, Jakayla Smith, fled and remains at large.Â
Mushat and the juvenile reportedly admitted to committing the crimes on behalf of another person.Â
She bonded out after being charged with organized retail theft and the teen was released to her guardians.Â
