A new women’s health clinic has opened on Broad Street.

Nurse Practitioner Courtney Carter Abrams officially opened Queen City Woman’s Health on Broad Street with a ribbon cutting on Feb. 17.

Abrams has been a nurse practitioner in Selma for seven years at Vaughn OB-GYN Associates. She said it was time for her to open her own clinic.

The clinic offers women’s health services like STD testing, birth control, annual exams, PAP smears and breast exams. “We do weight loss on Fridays, and we see OB patients up to 37 weeks of gestation,” Abrams said.

Queen City Women’s Health is located at 108 Broad Street in Selma. “I’m excited to be part of the downtown area here in Selma,” Abrams said. “Since the ribbon cutting, we have had more patients call and make appointments. I’m just really excited about servicing the needs of the people here and around the county.”

Abrams said women can call the clinic at 334-526-2887 to make an appointment.

Watch for an interview with Abrams in the Selma Sun and Black Belt News Network social media and websites around March 1.
