It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Darlene Adams Hughey. Born on March 23, 1933, Darlene lived a life filled with faith, love, and service. She was married to Kenneth Hughey who passed away in 1995, for 42 years.Â
She is survived by her son, Gerald Hughey, her daughter, Peggy Stiltner, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her brothers Gary Adams and Robert Adams.
A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Darlene's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served her community with unwavering dedication and embodied the teachings of her faith in all her actions. Her commitment to her beliefs was an inspiration to all who knew her. Darlene was a beacon of light and love to her family and friends. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with loved ones who have passed before her, in accordance with her strong belief in eternal families.
Service to celebrate Darlene's life will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Sprott at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at the church cemetery, following the service.
